We have been doing this for years, programming in ZIM since there were just three guys in the company call Zanthe. Version 1.0 in DOS fit on three floppies. Then we
worked in SCO Xenix because we needed multi-user and this was one of the rare platforms supported. That's when we programmed
FIXPro for Aetna Life Insurance, Toronto ON.
Then we partnered with Mortorola and ported the product with ZIM on the UNIX platform and put up incredible numbers for
that time.
UNIX with 32mb of memory, 150mb disk, 16 port multiplexor supported many clients on our service bureau.
Then Prudential and ourselves did a port to Vax VMS on their large DEC mainframes.
And finally the networks of OS/2, Lanmanager and Novell became of age.
Our ZIM based product survived with TTS for fault tolorence on the Novell 3.11 and 4.xx line for many years with Manulife,
Aetna US, Cooperators, Cumis and many more insurance companies.
We have ported all those products to Windows, initially with NT3.15 and then to Metaframe to support more with the Southern Bank of California.
Citrix eventually bought the licenses for MetaFrame and we continued with ZIM.
Our Port to MSSQL still using the ZIM language was completed around 2004.
As you can see from the above, we spanned literally decades with source code that didn't break.
Eventually we became a resource for some companies where the owners/original programmers retired.
To that end we supported Giesecke and Devrient (GDAI) with their Vaultmaster currency management software for banks and Carriers in Transit.
